We have seen plenty of games appear on the popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter for various videogame projects over the years, but not many with various different platforms planned. Escape 2042: The Truth Defenders, a brand new 2D platform game from OrionSoft, is being developed for four different platforms: Mega Drive/Genesis, Dreamcast, Game Boy, and Windows.

We take a critical look at the newly released fan translation for Out Live on the Turbo Grafx-16 console. If you are looking for hand holding in your RPG’s then look elsewhere, this is old school as can be.
We don’t see a lot of new PC Engine, also known as Turbo Grafx-16, games come across Kickstarter. That is why when I saw Henshin Engine I knew I had to write it up. Write it up I did (here). What we have here is a new action platform title that is now coming to […]
New Turbo Grafx-16, also known as PC Engine in Japan, games are not all that regular today. Fans have become accustomed to maybe one new game for this console per year, if that. Compared to the Sega Genesis and Atari 2600 new game output by independent developers, this is rather sad. Someone didn’t tell Sarumaru […]
In preparation of the 27th anniversary of the Turbo Grafx-16 being released in North America (the 19th for anyone wondering) we have been celebrating in a few ways. It is not often that I get all that excited about a Kickstarter but well, there is always that one that just won’t let me shut up. Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs is now on Kickstarter and looking might freaking nice. This is not a case of someone wanting to make a “homage” or […]
This is interesting news, especially considering that severe lack of information on the RETRO Video Game System. CYBER Gadget Corporation is working on a console named “Retro Freak” which will purportedly play 11 different 16-Bit era consoles worth of games. That is quite the backlog for many of us, and a chance to add to […]
New games for the Turbo Grafx-16 are quite rare as it is but to have a developer go one step farther and update one of their releases for the holiday season is just too cool. Santlantean is similar to how Konami would update their popular Parodius title with new ideas and directions (Sexy Parodius anyone?). […]
Snatcher, the cyberpunk adventure title that is sought after by retro collectors the world over, had a preview/demo disk that many don’t even know about. Way back in 1992, 22 year ago today, Konami released a special disk that featured quite a bit of content for the Snatcher fan. This is also a Japanese exclusive […]
