The world right now is a mess thanks to coronavirus. That is quite clear. GoG.com is doing their best to help gamers relax a bit. First, they have a big sale going on. Tons of games are discounted in this sale so check it out. Another way GoG.com is helping gamers out is by giving away 27 games from their extensive library. The genres are varied and there are many recognizable titles included.
GoG.com taking care of gamers
GoG.com is one of those companies that does a lot more than just re-release old games. They put love and effort into these releases. From tweaking the emulator used to work with Windows 10 to adding extras, GoG.com does a lot.
Gamers are getting the best possible version here.
About those titles
There are 27 games that GoG.com are giving away. Right off the bat I can point out Beneath a Steel Sky (BaSS) and the Ultima games. BaSS is probably already known to many reading this as it has been freeware for years now. As mentioned though, GoG.com doesn’t just throw the game out there with no assistance for fans.
Other titles worth checking out are Tyrian 2000, Jill of the Jungle: The Complete Trilogy, Postal: Classic and Uncut, and Shadow Warrior Classic Complete. These are some classic titles on PC that showed computers could game through the years. In the case of Postal: Classic and Uncut, it was probably more a case of doing what consoles wouldn’t. If you can get past the aesthetics it is a good game. Trust me though, that is a tough proposition sometimes.
For those that prefer physical copies
Unfortunately, no one is giving away physical copies of these games. That leaves Amazon and eBay for your gaming needs. Please note that these are affiliate links which we earn a small commission when you use them. This costs you nothing but helps us immensely. Thank you.
