The focus of BLAST ANNUAL 2020 is all about the four C’s – Community, Coding, Computers and Consoles. Our primary aim for the Blast Annual 2020 publication is to cover as much as possible of the retro community and retro gaming in 2019. This will be showcased in a stunning hard cover book full of new game reviews, gaming events, the people involved in the retro gaming community, the many events of the retro gaming community throughout 2019, coding tips written by real retro gaming people, pay tribute to retro gaming heroes, inform with feature articles on retro game developers, retro game dev contest results, look back in time with some nostalgic reviews of much loved games as well as feature new game releases from 2019 on Amstrad CPC, Atari 2600, Commodore Plus 4, Commodore 64, MSX, NES, SMS, ZX Spectrum, ZX SPECTRUM NEXT and a whole lot more!

It is with much appreciation and gratitude to the retro gaming community, that I am very happy to announce that all the content and page layouts for the Blast Annual 2020 project have been completed.

We have received such an overwhelming amount of support from the retro gaming community that the amount of content we have is enormous.

As a result, what we have decided to do is create two Blast Annual 2020 books. The first crowd fund campaign will be for Blast Annual 2020: Volume 1. We are hoping to launch this project on Kickstarter soon – I just need to find some time away from work to put it all together. Volume 1 currently has 198 pages, this may be more depending on how the crowd funding campaign turns out. Any profits after expenses made from Volume 1 will be given to charity to help support those people who have lost everything in the recent and ongoing bushfires in Australia.

Blast Annual 2020: Volume 1, has been put together by the retro gaming community for the retro gaming community. I would like to personally thank our main contributors for all their time and effort that has goine into this new publication namely Lobo, Andrew Fisher, Andy O’Flaherty, Brian Matherne, Dougie Mcg, John Davies, Louie Diminovski, Gordon King, Frank Romero and Richard Yaxley. There are many other people who have been involved with the Blast Annual 2020 project that I would like to thank all of you as well.

BLAST ANNUAL 2020: Volume 1 will be printed to a high standard, with good quality paper. It will be A4 in size with a strong hardback cover.

Here is a sample image below of how the page layouts are looking. Many thanks to Lobo for all his artwork, as one person stated on Facebook they look stunning!

Stay tuned as I hope to have another update with a launch date of the Kickstarter campaign and more details and images about whats inside Blast Annual 2020: Volume 1.
