Ah, good old AtGames, the company that seemingly has more money than sense. While I will not waste your time with my opinion on them beyond that first sentence, the AtGmaes Legends Flashback product is the subject of this discussion. It has been hacked to improve game support but obvious design choices that do nothing but haunt gamers continue to rear their heads.
Open your Legends Flashback to a new world
This custom firmware opens up the Legends Flashback in a few ways.
One is the ability to load Final Burn Alpha games in the 7-zip format.
It also adds MAME 2000 support, please check the “read me” file for information on naming requirements.
Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear games can be run from the SD card.
Ability to edit some settings via an “ini” file.
Slightly better frame rate in Bad Dudes and Crude Buster.
Removed filter texture from Super Street Fighter 2, Strider, and Ghouls ‘N Ghosts. Re-implemented via editing the “ini” file.
Not a perfect hack but close
One problem that has been brought up about the Legends Flashback CFW is that battery backed games do not save properly. In an upcoming version of the custom firmware developers could fix it. What this means is, you are going to have to use save states to keep your progress. No biggie for people that are used to emulators already.
Got one? Hack it.
If you have an AtGames Legends Flashback then this custom firmware could add a bit more life to the device. If you are in the market for this type of device, there are much better options for a comparable, if not cheaper, price. Maybe check eBay or by one from Amazon

I tried to update my Legends Flashback. I downloaded the update from AtGames website Febuary 13 2019. It just say image file corrupted and I can go no further. Do you have the December 2018 link or have you got this one to work. I only want to use the official AtGames firmware update.
