The PlayStation Vita is not dead. You may have read that on other sites. While games have slowed in release, but they are not done. Super Hydorah by Abylight Studios is proof of this. Available June 8^th from Limited Run Games, you better be quick if you want a copy of this one. Thankfully there are two versions that will be available.

Super Hydorah is a 2D side scrolling shooter, like what you might expect from Thunder Force III or the Gradius franchise. The cool thing is, somewhat like R-Type, there is no set path through Super Hydorah meaning you will not see all the levels in one go.

Features of the Steam game (not expected to change too much for PlayStation Vita) include:

• Easy to learn, damn hard to master!
• 21 levels divided into 35 sublevels, 35 bosses and more than 100 enemies
• Single player, Co-op multiplayer and Robot Chase spin-off mode
• Non-linear level layout with route selection
• Dangers of different nature in each level (not just bullets)
