It’s official. Doom is coming to the Nintendo Switch just in time for the holiday season.
Nintendo has confirmed the seminal first-person shooter is coming to the Switch. Gameplay and Graphics will be essentially the same as the 2016 version. The release will mark the first appearance of Doom on a current gen handheld since Doom II: Hell on Earth for the Game Boy Advance (available on eBay and Amazon).
The game will be released both digitally and in cartridge form. Multiplayer will be available but must be enabled through a free download for those hardcore collectors who elect to buy a physical copy.
It will be intriguing to see how the little Switch will handle the fast paced shooter. Fingers crossed the developer includes the original version as DLC or an unlockable.
