Hmm, what is the over/under on Nintendo dropping the ban hammer on this work in progress featuring the Legend of Zelda franchise? So far, the ZX Spectrum port by Dave Clarke is looking quite good. There are some bugs and some things missing but this is a work in progress.
What is here is a cross between wire frame and 8-Bit graphics. It is a cool effect as you can quickly see where Link is, where the enemies are, and where NOT to go. Well, where to go to kill enemies yeah, but also where to avoid getting killed if low on life.
Just seeing new programmers working on stuff like this as a “way to learn” is interesting. We are following along as they are learning a new programming language or platform.
