5 New Sega Master System Games

The Sega Master System is not a console we are unfamiliar with here at Retro Gaming Magazine.  While most of the current staff probably discovered it years after release, which has not stopped us from enjoying what we have found on it.  The last time I did a list if new Sega Master System games was back in January.  Was it really that long ago? Anyhow, here are five new games to play on your SMS and simply enjoy the Sega hardware thanks to independent developers not letting it die.

If you are a classic gamer and remember a little Atari 2600 game called Turmoil then you will understand DataStorm quite well.  The graphics are kept minimal but still getting the point across.  Think Tempest in 2D left/right mode and you have a good idea of what to expect.

Want a pretty interesting action platform game to play on your Sega Master System?  Check out the work in progress title, Monkey Lad.  While not finished, it is quite a bit far along as it stands.  Looking good.

Take on rails shooters and mix in some frenetic shooting action and you get 3D City.  This one is a legacy release as covered in my article on it here on Retro Gaming Magazine.

We don’t see many co-operative 3D first person maze games on any platform.  That makes Twin Maze all that more interesting and unique.  Again, covered here on RGM in more detail.

Tetris.  Bloki is Tetris and it is not ashamed to be a clone of that classic puzzle game.  I covered this one awhile back but it is still a good one.  More people need to know about Bloki.

Know of a cool game you want everyone to know about?  Tell us in the comments or via the contact link on the top of the page.

Play these on the K101 and you can game on the go!  The Revo company sponsors RGM.
