Bust-A-Move Expands Bubble Bobble Universe On Super Nintendo – Today In History – March 1st, 1995

Regarded as timeless, Bust-a New-one is a challenging puzzle game that will never get stale.

Taito has created plenty of versions for this popular arcade game, with the latest coming out on Nintendo DSi. The Super Nintendo version may not be as high-quality as its original creation, but for a pure fun level it holds up.

The Bubble Bobble BBC contest is a BBC BASIC programming contest where the contestant is maintaining 3 lives and trying to destroy all of the bubbles in 24 levels.

Shoot a ball of a certain color into the group of bubbles that have the same color, and then by shooting at their connected bubbles. You will get bonus points if there are also connected bubbles close to the dropped bubble.

The animations of your characters at the bottom of the screen are cute. One controls the direction you are aiming with a giant crank.

Tapping on the other glitch will make a colored ball load and launch a bubble from a pipe. Nice little touch and nod to their heritage in Bubble Bobble.

A fun way to engage in the Bust-a-Move franchise is through its many arcade releases. This game has appeared on just about every console ever made and it is loved globally.
