Metroid 2 Clone “Life on Mars” Coming to MSX2, Order Now

Retro gaming fans the end of the 2015 just got awesome.  Inspired by the Nintendo franchise, Metroid 2, MSX developer Kai Magazine, has just released his homebrew version titled Life on Mars for the MSX 2 range of computers.  Quite frankly this homebrew production looks and sounds amazing.  It is a run and gun platformer and your task is to explore the red planet and find out what happened to a colony established on Mars by the United Nations (UN) which has lost contact with earth.

The game demonstrates brilliant graphics, fast, smooth gameplay and sprites and an extremely atmospheric space sound track with in game tunes, the sounds are epic.  Life on Mars for the MSX 2 has been released as a 512k cartridge, system requirements are MSX2 or higher with 128KB RAM/128KB VRAM (OPL4/MOONSOUND version) or 64KB RAM/128KB VRAM (FM-PAC/MUSIC MODULE version).  As an added bonus there is also a multi-player, mini game that you can play, included with the cartridge, called Bomb Tournament where you can select any six maps or tunes from the Life on Mars game.

Cost of the game is 39€ plus shipping costs.

Two versions are available – in Spanish which will be ready next week.  In English, within 10 days.
