We have been covering the Retro Freak console for a bit now and can finally say, it is available at Play Asia (and probably other stores). The price is a little steeper than first expected but it is not like what we saw with the RETRO VGS console. The Retro Freak’s price is very much doable, considering it supports 11+ platforms, comes with a multi country power supply, multi-language menus and more in the box. What is interesting about the Retro Freak is that it is going for the same market that Hyperkin’s RetroN5 Console.
Previously we revealed that the Retro Freak will support a metric ton of retro consoles. From the Nintendo Entertainment System to the Sega Genesis and many off the wall consoles in between such as the Turbo Grafx-16, they are all supported on the Retro Freak, out of the box. The interesting additional purchase that Cyber Gadget are offering gamers is a controller breakout box. This is needed if you are interested in using native controllers for many of the various consoles that are supported on the Retro Freak.
The Retro Freak supports the many consoles out of the box, no additional adapters required, like what was purportedly the situation with the RETRO Video Game System. Considering the costs involved with having cartridge slots for Sega Genesis, SNES, NES, Turbo Grafx-16 and more it is amazing that the price is below $170 for the base unit (remember the controller adapter box costs extra).

Cyber Gadget have put their best foot forward with the Retro Freak and are looking to be the end all be all classic gamers console.
