For most people rollercoasters are the end all be all thing that needs to be conquered before leaving childhood for adult problems.  While I never rode a rollercoaster, even as an adult I have missed this opportunity, I do know a good park building game when I see one.  Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is one such great park building game (this is not DinoPark Tycoon on 3DO by any means).  Now gamers on the go can enjoy Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 on their iOS devices (I would suggest the iPad myself as this game would be hell on an iPhone screen).

This is not your normal “mobile” port of a PC title either.  All 18 scenarios from the PC game are here, intact.  Five park themes, over 100 pre-built rollercoasters and even the rollercoaster creator has made the jump.  How cool is that?  No more needing a $300+ computer to play Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, now you can play it on your $500+ iPad.

There is a compatibility list below for those wondering if Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 will run on their iOS device.  To save some time, iPod Touch 4 gen owners, you are out of luck.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is not a $0.99 app either, it is coming in at about $4.99 so those that have a problem with higher priced apps, no need to even bother here.  Developers like to be paid too, remember that.

What do you get for your $5?  A new interface to interact with your park, one that will make more sense on iOS devices.  There are NO In App Purchases to worry about either, pay $5 and you are done with paying.  You have the full game and can play it as long as you want.  How cool is that?
