Umihara Kawase, an under rated Super Famicom game, featured gameplay similar to Bionic Commando where you had the ability to latch onto things and pull yourself up. Now, imagine that gameplay mixed with defending another character, similar to Ico on Playstation 2. That is the basic idea of Chariot where you are escorting the dead king in his mobile tomb back to the royal burial plot. Along the way though you will face caves, obstacles and of course, enemies that would rather you not complete your journey.
You are equipped with a magic rope that can be called upon to keep the mobile tomb from being lost. You can pull, swing and generally rock the dead body around with the interesting physics engine that Chariot offers. Check the video for a better idea of the mechanics at play here.
Chariot is coming to Xbox One, Playstation 4, Wii U and PC (through Steam) this fall.
