Alright, flat shaded polygon arcade shooters similar to Star Fox are not something we see all too often. Thanks to the team behind Sky Rogue, we can enjoy one more game in this genre. The big difference between Sky Rogue and Star Fox is the open, procedurally generated, world of Sky Rogue (and it runs a lot faster than the Nintendo classic).
Think of Sky Rogue as a mix between Star Fox and After Burner with a more open game world to fly around in. Enemies run the gamut of turrets, to giant robots and even giant air ships of firepower just waiting for you to enter their sights.
Sky Rogue is currently available for free, at least Alpha Version 20 is, or more precisely for “name your price“. Come on guys, if you grab this game, support the developers with some cash for their trust in you by letting you name your price, don’t be a freeloader. You can grab Sky Rogue for Macintosh, Windows and Linux (versions 19 and 20).
Also, over on Steam Greenlight, Sky Rogue is looking for votes. If you want to see more games like Sky Rogue, why not give them a vote on Valve’s popular service?
