We love new games around here, especially those that hearken back to a simpler time when games were more about the story and challenge and not so much about the graphics. Ugaris is just such a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG). The engine running Ugaris is based on the Astonia 3 engine from Intent Software. If you are a fan of the classics like Ultima and games by Spiderweb Software then you will feel right at home with Ugaris.

Ugaris is played from a slightly rotated isometric viewpoint with a “cloud of war” enabled. Cloud of war is simply shadowing out the area that you can’t see, or have not visited yet. Ugaris features include allowing you to join communities, form alliances and even wage war with other players when you become powerful enough.

Ugaris is free to play and may just suck out all of your free time, depending on how big a fan you are of the classics.
