Nearly 20 years ago an action platforming game called Pinkie was released for the Commodore Amiga computer. Pinkie was quickly forgotten due to there being a glutony of similar titles released during this time. Unbeknownst to gamers of the time, Data Design Systems created a Super Nintendo port of Pinkie. Unseen 64 has found and released the ROM file for the Super Nintendo version of Pinkie.
Pinkie gives you control over a pink alien who has to collect eggs that are scattered around the levels. Pretty simple and similar to other platforming games of the time. Data Design Systems were well into development on Pinkie for the SNES before it was dropped for unknown reasons.
There is no word on how well Pinkie runs on actual hardware (if anyone can report on this, it would be greatly appreciated). Pinkie runs fine in emulators though.

[…] Retro Gaming Magazine Download ROM Image: Pinkie For Super […]
I downloaded the rom file, renamed the extension from .rom to .smc and it now runs on my real SNES using my SD2SNES flash cartridge. No slow down, the soundtrack plays awesome. Now to spend more time playing through the game 🙂
Thanks for the heads up on the fate of Pinkie on real hardware, CommodoreClub Sysop. By the way, love the name, reminds me of times when computers were quite a bit more interesting.
