Elysian Shadows, the upcoming game for a myriad of platforms including the Sega Dreamcast, has just begun their crowdfunding effort. Much like other projects that use Kickstarter, Elysian Shadows needs some financial help, moreso than the developers can afford on their own. If the initial fan support is any sign, this is going to be a good Kickstarter run for Elysian Shadows.
At the time of this writing, Elysian Shadows has garnered about 18% ($27,215) of the goal ($150,000). There are some really interesting stretch goals that are not just fluff too. For instance, the initial goal includes the Dreamcast version but there are stretch goals for PS4, XBone and Wii U ($250,000) and Nintendo 3DS and PSVita ($260,000). There are a lot of other stretch goals, for the full list hit the Kickstarter page.
For the basic funding level, Elysian Shadows will be coming to PC, Mac, Linux, Ouya, Dreamcast, Android and iOS. That is a HUGE amount of coding and should help bring in fans that want to at least see the game on one of those platforms.

This game looks absolutely incredible. I already backed it and realllly hope they succeed!
Dan, thank you for supporting Elysian Shadows. I am excited to see it succeed not only for the Dreamcast port but in general. We don’t see many games like this from indie developers.
