Fans of 16-Bit style shooters will want to read up on Mighty Tactical Shooter. As of this writing, there is still time to throw more cash at it on Kickstarter, even though it is successfully funded already. Reminiscent of the Thunder Force series or Gradius from Konami, Mighty Tactical Shooter also mixes in turn based strategy elements. Weird sounding, sure but it works somehow.

Mighty Tactical Shooter allows you to strategically move your ship, launch weapons and even direct some armaments onscreen. It is hard to explain so just watch the video for an idea of this interesting gameplay mechanic.
