Anyone remember Mazin Saga (Mazin Wars for our friends in Europe), an under the radar release, on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive? This newest OpenBOR game is very similar to that, nearly completely, unknown release by Vic Tokai. The developers of this indie, fan made, Power Rangers game have gone to great lengths to include as much fanfare as possible while staying true to the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo brawlers that shared this license, just the indies have done it better.
The core game is the same, you walk across the screen and encounter enemies just like you do in Streets of Rage, Final Fight and other brawlers. The difference here is that the Power Rangers have another form they can take as people and then one that they can take as a giant robot (for boss fights). When you transform into the Power Ranger of your choice you are greeted with a video clip from the show featuring your character calling for the transormation. This also happens when you meet the boss of the level.
