Who here remembers the 1989 Batman on the Nintendo Entertainment System or the movie it was based on? Probably more than a couple of you. Well, the National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) sure does. They have done action figures for classic licensed NES characters before, such as the Jason Voorhees figure from the NES Friday the 13th and the NES version of Robocop to name a couple. Now, they are doing Batman from the 1989 NES game.
This Batman figure is going to stand about seven inches tall, has 25 points of articulation and a removable cape. Batman will also come with a Batarang and Spear Gun accessorie for recreating your favorite parts of the NES game. The cool thing about this figure is that NECA is going for the stylized look of the Batman figure from the game.
Release is set for October of this year.
