In issue #1 of Retro Gaming Magazine, we featured two new games for the Turbo Grafx-16 CD-ROM (Pyramid Plunder and Insanity). We are now able to discuss another Turbo Grafx-16 title by Aetherbyt Software- this one is a Hu-Card release- the first in over 20 years for the platform. Shooter fans will be interested in the release of Atlantean.

Featuring sprite art that would fit in with official releases that we saw back in the 90’s, Atlantean is definitely a fitting release for the Turbo Grafx-16. Atlantean is a side scrolling shooter in the same vein as Deep Blue, another Turbo Grafx-16 release, or Thunder Force III and IV on the Sega Genesis. Super Nintendo gamers may feel more at ease knowing Atlantean is similar to Gradius III and R-Type.
