Another day, another 2D side scrolling action adventure coming to the Nintendo Wii U. Nintendo is really kicking it into gear with regard to the types of games that have a wide appeal with retro gamers and Yoshi’s Wooly World is no exception. What is next to be announced? A new 2D side scrolling Metroid on Nintendo Wii U or 3DS?

Similar to Yoshi’s Story on the Nintendo 64, though Wooly World is made of yarn and not plastic, gamers will be able to play a 2D side scroller. Other changes to the formula include shooting yarn balls instead of eggs and brand new HD graphics.

Unfortunately there is going to be a serious wait for Wooly World.
