The Commodore 64 is a workhorse of a computer if I have ever seen one, plain and simple. This thing just won’t quit, even decades after it has been commercially dead, new games continue to see releases. Over on The New Dimension website, where the Shoot ’em Up Construction Kit (SUECK) competition is held, there are several shooters that were made available recently. One of those shooters is 1941: The Secret Conflict which is based on the Capcom World War II style shooter series.
The setting is World War II and you are flying an English fighter plane deep behind enemy lines. Your mission is to thwart the enemy and their attempts at taking over the world.
What is here is classic overhead shooting action against tanks, other planes, submarines and more artillery than you can shake a stick at. Fans of overhead shooters will want to check this one out.
Check out all of the entries in the 2014 SUECK Competition here.
