In this day and age new scrolling shooters, not the First Person kind, are rare. Even rarer are the ones that harken back to the good old days of limited graphics and sound in what is commonly called, retro. Pizzarian is a new overhead/side scrolling shooter that has a lot in common with Game Boy shooters such as Solar Striker. The difference with Pizzarian is you are tasked with delivering pizza rather than saving the universe from some invading alien armada.

On one hand Pizzarian is like simulation racing games where you are able to upgrade your ship, or scrap it and buy a completely new one, and continue on. Money earned from delivering pizza is not only ear marked for new ships and upgrades, it can be used to upgrade the pizza shop so you can offer better pizza.

Pizzarian features a limited color pallette, four colors to be exact and retro styled action. There are two modes of scrolling available- overhead and side scrolling. Controls are easy to map to a controller (no two button combinations here) so load up a key to controller app and enjoy Pizzarian as it should be.
