Commando hit the Commodore 64 legitimately, along with tons of other platforms, almost two decades ago. That has not stopped fans from making an updated version for the C64 called Commando Arcade and it was just released.

What old school Commando fans can expect from this updated version include:

5 completely new levels totalling 8 levels just like the arcade game
New graphics for the Barracks, Level intermissions, new Chopper and Hanger graphics and more
Better sprite handling and an all new scrolling engine
An attract mode and a new Game Over screen
Plus a lot more.

This is what we need more of in retro gaming, improvements on the classics. This is something that diehard fans created as a testament to the original and it shows.
