Bandit Gaming: Super Mario RPG- The Starlite Worlds Released on PC Using RPG Maker XP

There are a lot of interesting projects using the RPG Maker XP engine, most are not exactly games we can discuss here but one such project has “retro” written all over it. Super Mario RPG- The Starlite Worlds from ICU Gigasoft has just been released and it is one of the more interesting projects that use the RPG Maker XP engine.

Apparently, Bowser is content in his conquests and is recanting them when he is interupted by a Koopa servant. There is trouble in the castle dungeons and it requires King Bowsers direct attention, immediately. That is the story, short and more than slightly confusing as we can only assume this mysterious trouble has something to do with a certain Italian plumber.

Super Mario RPG- The Starlite Worlds features over 20 hours of gameplay, cutscenes, Paper Mario style badges across four types and a new mouse driven “first strike” system.

This is an interesting use of the RPG Maker XP engine and of course is unlicensed by Nintendo so grab your copy ASAP before it is forced down. To grab a copy head over to Gamejolt.com while it is still available.

Thanks to Indie Retro News for the heads up on Super Mario RPG- The Starlite Worlds.
