There have been many gaming mashups over the years for various systems, most popular of the bunch probably being the Super Smash Bros series. Retro platforms have been doing it for far longer than that Nintendo 64 game though, particularly Konami who released Konami Wai Wai World and Parodius, both spoofs in their own rights. Now, fans have taken to the fun using Castlevania as the base and mixing in other Nintendo characters as the enemies you will face in your adventure.
Only Death and Dracula himself have escaped the sprite editing and swapping process. This is still Castlevania as you remember it, just new enemies to face. Will Mario be one of the bosses or is he relegated to being a fish man in the dark, dank, dungeon with stench filled water flowing through? Where are the Koopas? Is Bowser in here somewhere, and is he a boss? You will have to play Castlevania- Opposing Bloodlines to find out.
Castlevania is not freeware so we cannot link directly to the game file. We can however link to ROMHacking.net where you can get the patch file.

Kind of like a King of Fighters mashup where you are whipping the hell out of Kid Icarus and little hyper Links (get it?). The level layouts don’t seem to have been messed with in this one, just the enemy graphics, so the adventure may not be all that “new” for old hats. We covered Opposing Bloodlines previously. […]
