Star Fox is an iconic game that many from that day and age will probably always hold high and proud as an amazing achievement of the time. In the last couple of decades there have been more than a couple of pretenders to the throne, across many platforms. This style of game is not new, it is just that Star Fox was the first to do new things in the genre that caught the attention of gamers. Perseus 230 by Gabriel Santos looks to pay homage in a big, anime, way to the king of rail shooters.
Much like Star Fox, Perseus 230 will have many areas in different star clusters for gamers to take on at will. Obviously going for the whole experience will offer up some challenges and new levels that many gamers simply won’t see, while the abreviated run through will be great for completists.
The soundtrack is being handled by The Algorithm lead by French DJ/Producer Rémi Gallego. The Algorithm is an interesting mix of chiptune and breakcore, modern metal riffs and rythms and other electronic sub-genres. Basically, the music is going to rock while representing many genres.
Currently Perseus 230 is on Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight.

Looks pretty slick. Price is fair. I’m in.
It definitely looks awesome. Did you see the space worm animation on their Kickstarter page? The video is pretty awesome also. This is what rail shooters can be like if developers would try- after all, they can control the perspective and what is on the screen at any given time so why not go nuts?
