Okay, not trying to throw stones here, just writing what the original story is from the game creator. In Hide the Baby you play a single mother trying to keep her baby from being taken by the Inspector. You complete this by using household items to “hide” the baby (think drunken party tricks for some clues like wearing a lamp shade). This is an off the wall idea for a game, I have to admit. Did I mention this game is set in China and created by an independent developer in Russia for the Sega CD?
The engine used here is called BasiEgaXorz (never heard of it) porting a game by Nick Weihs who originally used the Unity engine (port handled by gameblabla). Hide the Baby V 1.1 includes some basic game improvements, a better looking logo and a modified game timer. There is effort to get this game working on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive but this has not worked out due to sound issues with the hardware.
Think of this as Mission Impossible in reverse, instead of trying to find the secrets in the level furniture, you are hiding the baby somewhere in the level and hoping the inspector doesn’t find it.
Thanks to Pscd.ru for the heads up on this one.
