Flappy Bird was recently able to shoot to extremes of popularity and at its height, was removed from digital stores. With the removal of this simple, yet incredibly addictive to some, game we have seen a lot of copycats popup. One such similar title is Flappo Bird for the Atari 2600.
The original Flappy Bird featured scrolling screens, something the Atari 2600 has proven tougher than worth trying. Available from TACS Games, Flappo Bird has conquered that problem by simply giving each obstacle its own screen with your bird moving along flapping as you hit the single action button (it is like this game should have been on this platform all along).
Flappo Bird is available right now in ROM form and can be enjoyed in an emulator or on physical Atari 2600 hardware. Hurry before this one is taken down too (yeah right).
