The Commodore Amiga is one of those classic computers that just keeps on giving to the community, even decades after it was pulled from store shelves. Thanks to Night Owl Design the Commodore Amiga can rack up one more interesting game for its library, Solid Gold. Much like Giana Sisters or Turrican, both action platformers taht started life on computers, Solid Gold has that charm that so many of these titles misses.
Maybe it is the Egyptian aesthetics in one of the levels (ever since that episode of G.I. Joe, I have been hooked on this look) or just the varied goals, challenges and level design, so much about Solid Gold stands out. There are a total of four worlds to explore, an original soundtrack and best of all, Solid Gold is free from Night Owl Design.
