Frame Gride Translated and Improved For English Gamers by Fans

To say that Dreamcast fans are dedicated and hardcore is probably an understatement considering what they are accomplishing. Yesterday, we brought you news of a fan release of Shenmue II on Dreamcast and today, we are bringing you another fan translation, and improvement. Frame Gride by From Software, another title that North American gamers missed out on.

Frame Gride is a giant robot fighting game, similar to earlier From Software title’s Armored Core. Originally Frame Gride came with an online two player mode but that has long since been discontinued as the servers were shut down in 2001. What is left is a single player and local two player mode.

The game play of Frame Gride is more akin to Virtual On by Sega than Armored Core as there are no mission based objectives available here. Taking cues from AC though, you can upgrade your mech with your winnings and improve your chances of winning tougher matches.

Mainly for game play display purposes

Improvements that were made to Frame Gride include relocating the videos on the the disc so that they play at full speed without hiccups and name corrections.  There is no patch available so we cannot link directly to the download.
