Endless running games are quite popular in the mobile market (some of the best are covered on Gaming on Batteries, our sister site). For the most part though, this genre has avoided consoles and other handhelds for some reason. Retro Reload are doing something about that with their new game, JumpVCS which is based on the hit flash game, Canabalt.

Obviously the Atari 2600 cannot replicate the highly detailed graphics that newer consoles and hand helds can so forget thinking you are going to see them. What you will find in JumpVCS is parallax scrolling, something you might not have thought possible on the venerable Atari hardware. It is impressive, even if limited.
