The Vectrex, the little system that was probably quite a bit ahead of its time, par for the course on these things, which died decades ago is receiving a new title. Bloxorz is a puzzle title that is quite reminiscent of Intelligent Qube but more “puzzly” and quite interesting looking.
Created by Damien Clarke in 2007 in the form of Bloxorz Online, is now available in demo form for those fortunate enough to have a flash cart or access to a reliable emulator. The idea is simple and unique, qualities that most puzzle developers can’t seem to pair up in their games. Controlling a rectangular block that is 2 by 1 in an isometric world. Flipping and flopping around trying to line up with the “X” on the map is where the challenge rears its ugly head here. Get too close to an edge and watch as you lose a life and fall off the map.
